This Brembo GT-S Hard Anodized Front Big Brake Kit (9004AS series) is a front axle upgrade for Porsche 996, 997.1, and 986/987 Boxster S and Cayman models, replacing the factory braking system with a fixed 6-piston Brembo caliper and 380mm x 32mm two-piece rotor setup. It increases thermal capacity and maintains consistent clamping force under repeated braking, where the factory systems begin to lose effectiveness.

This configuration is typically used on higher-performance builds or cars that see sustained aggressive driving, where the stock braking system starts to fall behind under repeated high-speed stops. The larger 380mm rotor package increases thermal mass, while the 6-piston caliper distributes clamping force more evenly across the pad surface. The result is more stable braking and improved consistency as temperatures rise.

Brembo’s GT-S line uses hard anodized calipers for improved durability and resistance to heat-related wear, paired with the same engineering found in their OEM and motorsport systems. This kit includes GT 6-piston cast monobloc radial mount calipers loaded with Brembo FM1000 pads for street and performance use. It’s paired with high carbon two-piece rotors—available in Cross Drilled, TY1, or TY3 configurations depending on the selected variant—with corrosion-resistant plating, along with Goodrich braided lines and CNC billet radial mounting hardware.

Add it up—6-piston calipers, 380mm rotors, braided lines, and proper mounting hardware. This is the larger-capacity option for builds that need more braking headroom under repeated load.
