This Brembo Gran Turismo Front Big Brake Kit (8063A series) is a front axle upgrade for Porsche 964 Carrera 4 (1989–1994), replacing the factory braking system with a fixed 6-piston Brembo caliper and larger rotor setup built to maintain braking consistency under repeated load. It addresses the fade and pedal instability that show up once the factory brakes are pushed beyond normal street use.

This configuration is typically used on harder-driven 964 builds where repeated high-speed stops or aggressive driving begin to expose the limits of the stock system. The larger rotor mass and caliper stiffness help maintain even pad contact and consistent braking force, especially as temperatures rise. It’s a common upgrade for cars that see canyon driving, fast road use, or occasional track time where heat control becomes a factor.

When it comes to bigger brakes, Brembo is the name most people end up at for a reason. This kit includes a pair of GT 6-piston cast monobloc radial mount calipers loaded with Brembo FM1000 pads set up for street and performance use. It’s paired with high carbon rotors—available in Cross Drilled, TY1, or TY3 configurations depending on the selected variant—with corrosion-resistant plating, along with Goodrich braided lines and CNC billet radial mounting hardware.

Add it up—6-piston calipers, larger rotors, braided lines, and the mounting hardware to tie it all together. This is the step up when the factory system starts to lose consistency under repeated braking.
