Brembo GT-R Nickel Plated Front Big Brake Kit for Porsche 993 C2/C4 (1995–1998) | 8001AR Series

This Brembo GT-R Nickel Plated Front Big Brake Kit (8001AR series) is a front axle upgrade for Porsche 993 Carrera 2 and Carrera 4 models (1995–1998), replacing the factory braking system with a fixed 6-piston Brembo caliper and 355mm x 32mm two-piece rotor setup. It increases thermal capacity and maintains consistent clamping force under repeated braking, where the factory system begins to lose effectiveness.

On 993 builds, the front braking system is often one of the first limitations once the car is driven harder or upgraded for performance. The factory setup can start to show fade and inconsistent pedal response under repeated use. This GT-R system addresses that with increased rotor mass and a stiffer caliper design, helping maintain even pad pressure and stable braking performance through repeated stops.

Brembo’s GT-R line builds on their GT systems with higher rigidity and improved response under load. The nickel-plated finish adds protection against corrosion and wear while maintaining a clean appearance over time. This kit includes GT-R 6-piston radial mount calipers loaded with Brembo FM1000 pads for street and performance use. It’s paired with high carbon two-piece rotors—available in Cross Drilled, TY1, or TY3 configurations depending on the selected variant—with corrosion-resistant plating, along with Goodrich braided lines and CNC billet radial mounting hardware.

6-piston calipers, 355mm rotors, braided lines, and the mounting hardware to tie it all together. This setup is built to stay consistent under repeated braking where the factory system starts to fall off.
