This Brembo Gran Turismo Front Big Brake Kit (8024A series) is a front axle upgrade for Porsche 930 (1978–1979), replacing the factory braking system with a fixed Brembo multi-piston caliper and 355mm x 32mm two-piece rotor setup. It increases thermal capacity and maintains consistent clamping force compared to the original 930 brakes, which tend to lose effectiveness under repeated hard use.
This configuration is typically used on street-driven or mixed-use 930 builds where improved pedal feel and fade resistance are needed without stepping into a more aggressive high-capacity setup. The larger rotor and modern caliper design provide more even pad contact and better heat control, especially during repeated high-speed stops or canyon driving. It’s commonly installed when the factory system is due for a rebuild or when the car’s power and grip have outgrown the original brakes.
When it comes to bigger brakes, Brembo is the name most people end up at for a reason. This kit includes a pair of GT 4-piston cast monobloc radial mount calipers loaded with Brembo FM1000 pads set up for street and performance use. It’s paired with high carbon rotors—available in Cross Drilled, TY1, or TY3 configurations depending on the selected variant—with corrosion-resistant plating, along with Goodrich braided lines and CNC billet radial mounting hardware.
Add it up—4-piston calipers, two-piece rotors, braided lines, and the mounting hardware to tie it all together. This is a solid step up from the factory system without moving into the larger high-capacity kits.

Fitment & Compatibility
Designed for Porsche 930 models from 1978–1979. This kit replaces the factory front braking system with a Brembo caliper and larger rotor package.
IMPORTANT: Before you purchase a Brembo Performance or Racing Brake system you should always confirm that the vehicle's wheels have adequate clearance, regardless of wheel size.
Fitment instructions can be found here
Caliper measurements can be found here

These CAD drawings represent the clearance of an Original Equipment (left) brake system compared to a GT system with inadequate clearance (middle), and one with proper clearance (right).
