The Wavetrac Differential for Porsche 996 6MT and 986 Boxster S 6MT is a state-of-the-art helical gear differential engineered by Autotech Driveline in the USA. Designed from scratch, its compact gear package features optimized tooth forms for superior strength and enhanced oil retention compared to other designs. The side gear/axle interface is reinforced with maximum material thickness, ensuring durability under high power, ideal for performance driving. Note: For 996 models, check drive flange type—bolt-in requires 160WK Wavetrac, clip-in requires 165WK Wavetrac. Includes bearing shim for ring gear flange side (not always needed).
As the only torque-biasing differential with patented technology, the Wavetrac prevents wheelspin during zero axle load conditions. Its innovative cam device creates internal load to maintain drive on the gripping wheel, unlike open differentials that lose traction. Built with high-strength 9310 alloy steel gears, case-hardened steel billet bodies, and premium ARP fasteners, it ensures top-tier quality.
Perfect for street, autocross, or track use, this differential enhances traction and handling.
