Starting with an ALL NEW ALL EMPI long block built by Jack Sacchette, EMPI’s Larry Hole and Victor Gonzalez dress out, test and tune every 1600cc turn-key engine on the EMPI dyno ensuring that your new engine is ready to install and get your VW back on the road!

This 100% new and ready-to-install engine features AutoLinea cylinder heads upgraded with OSVAT OE style valves and a proprietary 3-angle valve job by Anthony Chicca at EMPI Anaheim.

Every 1600cc EMPI turn-key engine is covered by a 12month/unlimited mileage warranty

Every EMPI Turn-Key Engine Includes:

  • New 55 Amp Alternator
  • New 34 PICT Carburetor
  • New Electronic Ignition Kit with High Output Coil
  • Upgraded Dual Port Cylinder Heads with OSVAT valves CNC Machined in Anaheim CA
  • 12 Volt 200mm Flywheel
  • New Sheet Metal
  • PennGrade 1 Oil Included
  • Fits most Type 1, Type 2, Ghia, Dune Buggy, Sand Rail and Kit Car applications using 12V Flywheel
